Former Social Club in Mansfield Sold!
Boothys Social Club on West Hill Drive, Mansfield has been sold to a private development company. The buyer intends to redevelop the Mansfield social club building and site into residential use.
SMC have been marketing the 7,193 sq ft building as a redevelopment opportunity for potential commercial and residential uses.
The club had been run by Jeff and Jean Booth for over 23 years until the couple decided to close the doors in early 2016. The smoking ban, relaxed licensing hours, cheap supermarket alcohol pricing and changing tastes all contributed to the decision to close. Prior to trading as ‘Boothys’ the building had been a Mansfield Labour Club.
SMC Chartered Surveyors received a wide variety of interest for the property from commercial owner occupier uses as well residential led parties. Fisher German acted on behalf of the purchaser.
