SMC Chartered Surveyors have completed the retail letting of 33 High Street in Sheffield city centre.
Acting on behalf of a private client the three storey retail premises has been let to Trade2Us. Trade2Us is a newly formed company founded by Steve Boult, previously owner of multiple CEX franchise stores throughout the south east of England. Trade2Us will be offering a range of second hand electronic and gaming goods.
A wide variety of interest was received for the property, mainly from electronics, mobile, e-cig as well as local food and drink store operators. The city centre premises had been previously let to Grainger Games, before the national retailer entered into administration in 2018.
SMC are delighted to have secured a deal on behalf of our landlord client, in a difficult retail market for the high street. A limited void period means the landlord will benefit from a reasonably quick return to generating an income from the property, as well as minimising any potential empty rates liabilities.
Trade2Us are currently undertaking fit out works and are expected to be open for business from early May 2019.
